June 1st, 2012

June 1st, 2011- What a day that was. It was a Wednesday and one that I'll never forget.
June 1st, 2012- Today's going to be a much better day.  I'm cat-sitting a kitty who looks so very much like my cat who I had for 14 years. My cousin is visiting from Israel so I'm going to spend some time catching up with her.

Earlier this week I got a call from my doctor notifying me that I had completed my 52 weeks of the herceptin iv's.  I'm done. I'm done. I'm done!!!  My Wednesdays are back to being my own. Goodbye needles! Good Riddance. I'm good.

TGIF! I'm going to enjoy the sunny weather. :)

  1. Hello Elita, thank you for sharing your life. I will start chemo and herception infusion on the 29th of this month. August 2012. I'm a bit apprehensive, but the other choice is not mine..I hope I can be as brave as you my friend. You are beautiful.

  2. Thank you so much for your comment. I hope reading about my experience has made you feel a little calmer about your upcoming treatments. I wish I could say that I am brave, but really, you just do what you have to do! One of my favorite quotes that I heard while I was going through my treatments is, "You're stronger than you think you are." Remember that!

If you'd like to talk, ask questions, rant, anything... feel please free to message me!!

Good luck with everything! Sending you positive vibes.
